Euchre Night Planned Friday, Sept 10
Euchre Night is Friday, Sept 10, from 7-9 pm in the Café. Come a little early and bring a snack to share. Plan to meet someone new, have fun and maybe win a prize!

Speed Chatting Set for Saturday, Sept 11
Women’s Speed Chatting will be Saturday, Sept 11, from 9:30 to noon. Please sign up if you plan to attend. The event also has a need for food and drinks (can’t chat without it) if you’d like to sign up for that. If you’ve never been to one of these yak-fests, plan to join in the fun!

Want to have your life changed in a positive way? Want to be an influence for God in the lives of this church's youth? The Senior High Youth Ministry needs volunteers to help with activities and small groups on Sunday nights. Meetings begin Sept 12. Contact Eric Kleiman (574-361-8579).

WOW! Service Resumes September 15

Community Church of Waterford's WOW! (Waterford on Wednesday!) mid-week worship and teaching service resumes on September 15 at 5:45 pm and includes a simple meal. If you would like to help cook a WOW! meal or provide dessert on Wednesday nights, please contact the church office or Nancy Clouse at 574-971-7640.

Five-Week Series Starts Off WOW! on September 15
"The Me I Want To Be" will be a five-week teaching series for WOW! beginning Wednesday evening, September 15. The church will be using a published workbook that goes with the DVD that will be shown. Those workbooks will be made available at each Wednesday night of the series. However, if you would like to purchase a workbook for your personal use at $7.50, please let Norma Miller know as soon as possible.

New Board and Elder Team Members Selected
Earlier this summer, the church nominated individuals to serve on the Elder Team and the Board of Directors. From those nominations, Vanessa Kilmer and Chris Stump will be joining the Elder Team and serving with R.D. Borden, Sandy Fisher, Galen Jay and Norma Miller. Joining Reed Juday, Karen Green and Larry Cripe on the Board of Directors will be Greg Bernheisel, Lee Borntrager, Corinne King, Glen Miller and Brett Troeger. Please be praying for these new members as they take on new responsibilities and work with the current members of these teams to lead the church.

Register Now for 2011 Global Leadership Summit
Pre-registration for Willow Creek’s Global Leadership Summit is taking place now. A reduced rate of $135 per person at a satellite site (Granger Community Church is the closest) is being offered. If you are interested in attending the Summit, Aug 11-12, 2011, with a group from the church, please see Karen Green for more information. The Global Leadership Summit is designed for the leadership team (staff and volunteers) in the church as well as key influencers and innovators within the community, emerging leaders and students with leadership gifts. Speakers at the Summit this year included Bill Hybels, Jim Collins, Tony Dungy, Andy Stanley, TD Jakes, Daniel Pink, Jack Welsh and others. Registrations and payment need to be received at the church office by October 17 to get the reduced rate.
