It is our desire at Community Church of Waterford
for everyone who wants to take another step in becoming connected to God and
others at a deeper level to have that opportunity through a variety of
smaller gatherings of people.
What Groups Are Available? Currently the church has several different
types of small groups meeting:
Study Groups
help gain more knowledge of the Bible and/or Christian living through study
notes, a workbook or another Christian book.
Ministry Groups are groups whose members also serve together in a
particular ministry of the church like music, technical, hospitality,
ushers, cleaning or stage design.
Support Groups gather individuals around a common
need or concern for the purpose of support and encouragement. Current groups
include men's support, women's support and unemployed and/or under-employed
men.
Growth Groups assist those who desire a deeper relationship with God
and with a group of people and are willing to be committed to regular
attendance. These groups most often meet in a more intimate setting like a
member’s home or a restaurant.
Other Opportunities
periodically happen when small groups are formed to talk
about a particular interest or to have a special focus for a designated
period of time. These short term special interest groups include help with financial skills, parenting,
marriage, outdoor activities (such as fishing and hunting), mentor relationships and
membership in the church.
